About The Study

The US drone industry is entering a critical period. New procurement requirements, cybersecurity expectations and supply-chain pressures are changing what it takes to manufacture and sustain trusted drone systems at scale.

Commissioned by the Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group (MTDG), this independent study is gathering first-hand evidence from across the US drone ecosystem to identify where domestic manufacturing is strong, where constraints remain, and what drone manufacturers (OEMs) and drone service operators need from the US supply base to support the next phase of growth.

Results will inform TICDAME (Trusted Intelligent Cybersecure Distributed Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem), a proposed framework for connecting qualified domestic manufacturers through common expectations for security, traceability, and dependable production.
